Microsoft Southeast Europe Top CISO Club Belgrade Meeting

Microsoft Southeast Europe Top CISO Club Meeting Belgrade 2024

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in the inaugural Southeast Europe Top CISO Club meeting in the beautiful city of Belgrade – what an incredible experience! Bringing together cybersecurity leaders from across the region, the event marked the beginning of a truly valuable initiative. The goal? To share insights, challenges, and best practices – and to build a stronger community.

This gathering was more than just an industry meetup. It was the launch of a platform for CISOs to connect, collaborate, and learn from each other. It was inspiring to see the openness in the room. Everyone came ready to listen and contribute. foster ongoing peer-to-peer communication, trust, and knowledge sharing among CISOs across Southeast Europe. The conversations we had were insightful, practical, and above all, collaborative – exactly what’s needed in today’s complex threat environment.

We tackled a wide range of pressing topics, including the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape, the role of AI in modern security, and the increasing demand for regional cooperation and regulatory alignment. What stood out most to me was the collective mindset in the room: open, forward-thinking, and solutions-focused.

It’s clear that collaboration and innovation are no longer optional – they’re essential. From zero trust strategies to resilience planning and AI risk management, we’re all navigating similar challenges. Events like this remind us that while no one has all the answers, we’re stronger when we learn and grow together. We can’t tackle today’s threats alone. The pace of change is too fast. The risks are too great. But together, we can stay ahead.

A huge thank you to the organizing team and to Microsoft for supporting this Southeast Europe Top CISO Club Meeting initiative and creating a space where security professionals can connect meaningfully. I’m also deeply grateful to all the peers, CISOs, and security professionals who shared their experience, feedback, and strategic perspectives. Their openness and insights made this event not just informative, but inspiring.

Looking ahead, I’m excited for more such gatherings, more collaboration across borders, and more opportunities to collectively raise the bar for cybersecurity across our region.
