Moderating the closing session of the 14th Infocom Security Conference was both an honor and a moment of reflection. Our topic, The Ecosystem of Global Organizations of IT, Cyber Security and Audit Professionals – The Evolving Role of Greek Chapters, highlighted a fundamental truth. The professionals in our field are not just technical experts, but essential pillars of today’s digital society.

In today’s complex environment, the roles of cybersecurity, IT audit, and digital governance professionals extend far beyond technical infrastructure. Their decisions and actions affect the resilience and trustworthiness of entire organizations – private and public alike.

To meet these growing demands, continuous learning, certification, networking, and collaboration have become non-negotiable. That’s where global professional organizations play a vital role.

Greek Chapters of ISC2, ISACA, itSMF, and Women4Cyber play a vital role in knowledge-sharing, community-building, and professional growth in Greece.

In our panel, Dimitris Georgiou, Nikos Drakos, Giorgos Papoulias, and Valina-Paraskevi Panteli discussed their organizations’ missions, activities, and future goals. From mentoring and certifications to awareness and inclusion, their work is shaping Greece’s next generation of professionals.

This session wasn’t just a conclusion – it was a celebration of a vibrant, committed community that supports Infocom Security year after year. And as we move forward, it’s clear that the strength of our Chapters will remain a driving force behind the evolution of our field.
